To realize the digital platform government, it is necessary for public sector workers to move beyond simply understanding the potential of generative AI and to apply it to actual administrative tasks and discover innovative policy ideas.a 'practical execution platform'was needed. The key task was not just to share technology trends through education, but to enable public officials to directly experience the possibilities and limitations of AI and develop 'judgment'.
Partnership establishment:In cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Microsoft, we led the overall planning and operation of'2025 Hack for Public for Korea'.
Practical guide: USlab.ai's core methodology,'Vibe Coding (Cursor, GitHub Copilot)'and'Automated Workflow (Make, n8n, etc.)'technologies were implemented in the hackathon to help participants immediately prototype their ideas.
Strengthening execution:Expert mentoring and practical sessions were provided to help participants use the latest AI technologies to automate administrative tasks and refine ideas for improving services for the public.
Education on recognizing limitations:We guided participants to move away from the illusion that AI will solve all problems, to clearly recognize the limitations of the technology, and to establish 'planning and direction' to compensate for these limitations.
Qualitative leap in public AI literacy:Central government officials and public institution employees have acquiredpractical AX capabilitiesto solve problems using AI as a tool.
Foundation for policy reflection:We have established a technical and administrative foundation that allows excellent ideas discovered through the hackathon to be reflected in actual policies, rather than remaining mere suggestions.
Contribution to the realization of a digital platform government:Between the latest private sector technology (Microsoft) and public sector policy capabilities (Ministry of the Interior and Safety, KDI),USlab.aiplayed the role ofa 'bridge between technology and policy',presenting a new standard for public service innovation.
"Our education does not simply teach how to use AI. In the process of all team members directly handling AI and experiencing deployment, the entire organization acquires the'judgment' and 'execution power'to lead the AI era. That is the true value of education pursued byUSlab.ai."
